Great opportunity: we are hiring a system formwork carpenter in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. The job is at a reinforced concrete building site. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level The role involves: • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
