Vacancy available: brick and block layer (Iowa)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Cass County, Iowa. You will work on a busy housing site. Day to day you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
