Cnc setter-operator — Cattaraugus County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc setter-operator in Cattaraugus County, New York. The job is in a job-work machining unit. You will set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); run first-off inspection and sign off the part; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers. What we are looking for: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection 1+ years on the tools preferred.
