Fettler wanted in Nelson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Nelson County, North Dakota. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
