Foundry operative — Grady County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Grady County, Georgia. Day-to-day duties: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
