Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Dickinson County, Michigan. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On the job you will handle: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Rotating shifts.
