Furnace operator — Southampton County

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Southampton County, Virginia. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 5+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
