TIG welder — Baldwin County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a TIG welder in Baldwin County, Georgia. You will work on a structural steel site. Day-to-day duties: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Performance bonus on top of base pay.
