Laundry presser — Kaita

Vacancy available: we are hiring a laundry presser in Kaita, Katsina State. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Day-to-day duties: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments 4+ years on the tools preferred.
