Great opportunity: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Aurora County, South Dakota. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
