Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Gaston County, North Carolina. You should have: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg Day to day you will measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; run first-off inspection and sign off the part; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $20 per hour, based on your experience.
