Single needle operator — Tangipahoa Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a single needle operator in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams The role involves trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
