Bar bender and fixer wanted in Hardin County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Hardin County, Illinois. You will be based on a commercial tower construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Full-time with occasional weekends.
