Die-casting operator — Madison County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Madison County, Ohio. You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 1+ years on the tools preferred.
