Power float operator — Orange County

Now hiring: we are hiring a power float operator in Orange County, Florida. The job is on a road and bridge project. You should have: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Your main tasks: • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
