Foundry operative • Lafia, Nasarawa State

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The job is on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Six days a week, one day off.
