Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Western Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
