Semi-automatic welder — Anderson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Anderson County, Texas. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
