Join our team: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Meade County, Kansas. You will work on a bridge and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts On a typical shift you will keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
