Precision welder — Bauchi

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Bauchi, Bauchi State. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Your main tasks: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
