Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Atchison County, Missouri. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
