We are recruiting: bricklayer (Wales)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bricklayer in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. Your main tasks: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
