Argon welding operator wanted in Schoolcraft County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Schoolcraft County, Michigan. The job is on a structural steel site. The role involves weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
