Vacancy available: GMAW welder (Wisconsin)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Portage County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Your main tasks: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits.
