Immediate opening: we are hiring a final inspection operator in Cheatham County, Tennessee. The job is in an automotive parts factory. Ideal candidate: • ITI or diploma in a mechanical or production trade • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping • Confident using vernier callipers, micrometers and gauges On a typical shift you will inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting; verify dimensions against the tolerance limits on the technical drawing; log batch numbers, lot codes and traceability data; escalate recurring defects to the line supervisor or QA engineer; segregate and quarantine defective or out-of-tolerance items; operate height gauges, profile projectors and coordinate measuring tools.
