Tower crane operator — Starke County

Now hiring: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Starke County, Indiana. You will work in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Day-to-day duties: • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius Rotating shifts.
