Vacancy available: refrigeration technician (Scotland)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a refrigeration technician in North Ayrshire, Scotland. You will be based at a supermarket cold-chain site. Requirements: • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders Day to day you will measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; fault-find control boards and defrost timers; recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system; read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges; wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays; trace electrical circuits with a multimeter. 6+ years on the tools preferred. £110 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
