Tig welder — Jackson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Jackson County, South Dakota. Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
