Hoist operator — Mason County

Join our team: we are hiring a hoist operator in Mason County, Michigan. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) On the job you will handle: • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
