Vertical milling machine operator wanted in Colbert County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Colbert County, Alabama. The job is at a fabrication and machining plant. The role involves hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
