Press shop operator — Lee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a press shop operator in Lee County, Alabama. The job is at a busy press shop. Day to day you will watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; set up and change stamping dies and tooling. You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Pay around $5,100 per month, based on your experience.
