Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Phillips County, Arkansas. The job is on the moulding line. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
