Pressman — Otsego County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pressman in Otsego County, Michigan. On a typical shift you will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; give each garment a final press before packing; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
