Sewing machine operator — Jefferson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Jefferson County, Iowa. The role involves set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. Requirements: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
