Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Chittenden County, Vermont. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $3,600 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
