Great opportunity: vertical milling machine operator (Scotland)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Highland, Scotland. The job is in a CNC machining unit. You will read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade £1,850 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
