Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Clay County, Indiana. You will work at a busy gas installation company. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations The role involves: • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
