Bar bender and fixer wanted in Multnomah County

Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Multnomah County, Oregon. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. Requirements: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites The role involves assemble column and beam cages on the bench; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $16 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
