You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks On a typical shift you will bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel.
