Presser — Iberia Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a presser in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. You will work in a garment export house. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment On the job you will handle: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
