Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Cheshire East, England. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day-to-day duties: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
