Groundsman — Chambers County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundsman in Chambers County, Alabama. The job is in a botanical garden. The role involves: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease What we are looking for: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $210 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
