Immediate opening: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Cook County, Georgia. The job is on a busy construction site. On a typical shift you will follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • A good head for heights for tower crane work $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off.
