Thermal insulation technician — Patrick County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a thermal insulation technician in Patrick County, Virginia. You will work in lofts and crawl spaces. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit, able to lift and carry boards and rolls • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Sharp eye for sealing joints and avoiding thermal bridges The role involves: • Install vapour barriers and seal all joints and overlaps with tape • Install fire-stopping and fire-rated insulation around penetrations • Lag hot and cold water pipes with rockwool sections and aluminium cladding • Work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
