Tig welder — Knott County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Knott County, Kentucky. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Your main tasks: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Rotating shifts.
