Join our team: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Ada County, Idaho. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
