The role involves: • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine • Balance wheels on a computerised wheel balancer and fit clip-on weights • Repair punctures with mushroom plugs and internal patches • Vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres Ideal candidate: • Able to lift heavy car and truck tyres repeatedly • Awareness of workshop health and safety Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
