Horizontal milling machine operator — Grayson County

Join our team: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Grayson County, Kentucky. You will work in a toolroom. What we are looking for: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery On a typical shift you will set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift.
