Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity.
