Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Fune, Yobe State. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Pay around ₦95,000 per month, based on your experience.
